Each year SB CAN & SB CORE honor individuals, businesses, and organizations for their outstanding contributions to the community at its North County Awards Dinner and fundraiser. Please join us in honoring this year’s outstanding community leaders:

John Buttny, Santa Ynez, Social Justice Award

Guadalupe Dunes Center, Guadalupe, Environmental Protection & Sustainability Award

Eric Cardenas / Central Coast Health Project, Santa Maria, Working Families Award

Connie Geiger, Lompoc, Giving Back to the Community Award

Our Guest Speaker this year will be Shane Stark, recently retired Legal Counsel for the County Board of Supervisors. Shane, who is well-known for his ability to make even the driest legal subject quite humorous, will share his irreverent wisdom and witty reminiscences about his many years of service in an often sensitive job.

This event is generously sponsored by: The Sierra Club, The Fund for Santa Barbara, Sara Miller McCune, Guadalupe Cultural Arts & Education Center, Santa Maria League of Women Voters, Northern Santa Barbara County Women’s Political Committee, and Santa Maria Valley Democratic Club.

Tickets are $40 per person, or $35 if paid by April 11. You may also reserve a table for eight for $320, or $280 if paid by April 11.
